.sx is s new ccTLD (country code top level domain) for Sint Maarten, the Dutch part of the island Saint Martin in the northeast Caribbean. The island is divided in one Dutch part and one French part (Saint-Martin).

.sx will be released according to the following schedule:

1. A Grandather Period to protect Sint Maarten holders of .AN domain names – ongoing until May 2nd 2012.
2. A Sunrise Period to protect trademark holders – from May 3rd to July 4th 2012. Exclusively available to trademark holders. Your trademark can be registered anywhere in the world, but must have been registered before March 1, 2011.
